HOW DO I...?
Make An Appointment(s)?
Ring our main switchboard number on 0845 155 0070 to book an appointment for any of our clinics or services.
The switchboard offers several options for you to select from. Please listen carefully to ALL of the options before making a selection - the options may vary at certain times.
• Urgent cases are seen on the day
• If your condition is non-urgent you can expect to see a GP within two working days, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a specific doctor.
• We do offer some advance booking appointments - please speak to a member of the reception team to make an appointment.
• Tell us if you are in a telephone box. Say immediately if your call is an emergency.
• Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen. An appointment is for one person only.
• Remember that test results can only be given to the patient.
Long Appointments
Long appointments are usually required for medical examinations for certificates such as HGV. If you think you may require a long appointment then please inform the receptionist who will book the appropriate time.
HOW DO I?...
Request A Home Visit(s)?
Our doctors typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to practice if at all possible. However, we can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend the surgery.
If you think you need a doctor to visit you at home then please telephone the surgery before 10.30am whenever possible and let us know if your visit is urgent.
If you require a doctor to visit you at home and the surgery is closed, please telephone 0845 155 0070 and listen carefully: you will hear a recorded message which will give you another telephone number to call where you can request a doctor to visit.
HOW DO I?...
Obtain Test A Result(s)
It is your responsibility to find out the result of your test. When you have the test taken you will be told to call back to the surgery for the results. When test results are received back into the practice a log is made into your computer file along with a message from the doctor.
Remember: you do not have to make an appointment to obtain your test results, always ask a member of our reception team first for assistance.
